Let's Sleeping in...

หลับตา

...ไม่ใช่หลับยาย (แน่นอน ไม่ใช่หลับปู่และหลับย่า : สินเจริญมุกเสื่อมขอแถมอีกสองดอก)

การนอนลง หลับตา...เป็นกระบวนการหนึ่งของร่างกายสิ่งมีชีวิต ทำให้เราได้ละพักจากเรื่องราวต่างๆ ได้พักผ่อนอิริยาบถ แน่ล่ะ..และอาจทำให้เราได้ฝัน

ฝันในที่นี้ ไม่ได้หมายถึง ความฝัน ในแง่ของจุดมุ่งหมาย แรงบันดาลใจ อะไรแบบนั้นนะครับ ฝันในที่นี้ คือ ฝัน จริงๆครับ ฝัน น่ะครับ ฝันน่ะ ที่แบบว่า นึกถึงการ์ตูนน่ะ ที่มันมีช่องเหมือนเมฆขยุยๆ ออกมาจากหัว เหมือนควันปล่องไฟน่ะ (อธิบายได้เห็นภาพมาก ขอเสียงปรบมือด้วยครับ...)

ซึ่งในวันที่โชคดี เวลาที่ฝันดี ตอนใกล้ๆจะตื่น มันไม่มีความมุ่งหวังอะไร ไม่มีเหตุผล ไม่ต้องพยายาม ต่างกับความฝันที่ต้องไขว่คว้าของเด็กบ้านอคาเดมี่เสียนี่กระไร (เห็นภาพอีกแล้วครับ ขอเสียงปรบมือ เอาแบบกระหึ่มนะครับ เอ้า...ขอมือขวาหน่อย...เอ้ย!! ไม่ใช่และ!)

มันคือความสนุก ความประหลาดใจ ความมั่ว การผูกเรื่องที่น่าฉงนที่จับเอาเรื่องในชีวิตประจำวันมายำให้เป็นซีรียส์งงๆ ผูกเรื่องชนิดที่คนเขียนบทชอว์แชงก์ยังต้องไปหลับฝันสู้ในเมทริกซ์

แต่ไม่รู้ทำไม พอกำลังจะจับได้ไล่ทัน กำลังจะรู้ไคลแมกซ์

ก็ตื่นซะแล้ว

และระหว่างที่งัวเงียหยิบนาฬิกาปลุก ความสนุกนั้นก็หายไปเฉยๆ อย่างน่าประหลาด

แต่ในวันว่างๆ ที่ไม่รู้จะรีบไปไหน

ก็คงจะขอต่อสักงีบสองงีบ

My Sweetest Serenaide

สำหรับ blog ของผมที่เกี่ยวกับเพลงทั้งหลายทั้งแหล่ หลายคนบอกว่า ให้ผมแนะนำเพลงนิดนึงด้วย ไม่ใช่แค่อยู่ๆก็เอาเพลงมาแปะ ก็ได้ครับ วันนี้ผมจะแนะนำวง Serenaide กับ เพลง The Sweetest ครับ ซึ่งโดย Sound แล้ว คงเป็นส่วนผสมที่อาจจะไม่คุ้นเท่าไหร่ แต่ด้วยความที่แนวเพลงมีความเป็น Pop สูง จึงพอเตะหูและพอกล้อมแกล้มให้ฟังสนุก ทั้งมันส์ไปด้วยไม่ยาก

ซึ่งด้วยความสามารถและพรสวรรค์อันโดดเด่นของวงนี้เอง ทำให้ Serenaide สามารถไต่ขึ้นเป็นวงดนตรี Indie Pop อันดับต้นๆของ Singapore ในช่วงไม่กี่ปีที่ผ่านมานี้เลยทีเดียว แถมยังเป็นที่รู้จักกันดีใน Indonesia อีกด้วย

Serenaide ประกอบด้วยสมาชิก 4 คน คือ
    Pheyroz Yusuf : Vocal, Guitar
         Zuremy Ibrahim : Guitar, Chorus
                        Mimi Yahya : Bass
Shakir "Shaq" Samat : Drum, Percussions

เพลงของ Serenaide น่าจะจำกัดใจความได้ว่าเป็นแนวแบบ Guitar Pop Band ที่มีการผสมผสานด้วย Sound Romantic และ Beats แบบ Swinging ของยุค 60's (ยุคของ Big Band อย่าง Glenn Miller) ทำให้เป็นสไตล์เพลงที่สามารถร้องตามไปได้อย่างไม่ยากนัก แถมเต้นก็ได้อีกต่างหาก

ในด้านอิทธิพลทางดนตรี เพลงส่วนใหญ่ของ Serenaide ได้รับอิทธิพลมาจาก The Smiths, Pulp และวง Brit Pop อื่นๆที่เพลงมีสีสันและให้อารมณ์ โดยที่ Pheyroz นักร้องนำและมือกีตาร์ของวง เป็นผู้ที่มีส่วนอย่างมากที่ทำให้ Serenaide มี Sound ที่ไพเราะและมีเอกลักษณ์ครับ (อีกวงนึงที่มีรูปแบบทางดนตรีคล้าย Serenaide มาก คือวง Pop Sweden ที่ชื่อ Popsicle ครับ ไว้จะอัพให้ได้ฟังกัน)

ฝ่ายผู้อุปการะบุกรุกไปเอาหมาเขามานะครับ

หากวันไหนมีใครมาบุกบ้านเรา
แล้วเอาหมาเราไปโดยบอกว่าเราเลี้ยงไม่ดี..เราจะยอมหรือ

ไอ้เลี้ยงดีหรือไม่ดีอีกเรื่องนึงนะครับ
แต่ของๆเขา ...ไปเอามาทำไม ??????

มาตรฐานคำว่า"ดี"มันต่างกันครับ

คนรวยให้หมาอยู่ห้องแอร์ ให้นอนในมุ้งลวด
ให้กินอาหารดีๆ มีอาหารเสริม พาไปว่ายน้ำ
แบบนี้เรียกว่าดีตามมาตรฐานคนรวยครับ

บ้านผมเลี้ยงให้กินอิ่ม เล่นกับมันเท่าที่เราว่าง
อาบน้ำให้อาทิตย์ละครับ พาไปฉีดยาตามที่ควรจะฉีด

ส่วนใหญ่ก็เลี้ยงกันแบบไทยๆ
เลี้ยงให้มันกินอิ่มนอนหลับ
เลี้ยงให้มันเป็น"ไอ้เพื่อนยาก"ของเรา

หากคิดจะช่วยจริงๆ
ไปช่วยหมาข้างถนนดีกว่าครับ
เพราะหมาที่คุณไปเอาของเขามา
ยังไงเขาก็เลี้ยงดี"ในระดับนึง"
เขาไม่ให้มันอดตายหรอกครับ
เพราะเขาทำธุรกิจทางนี้....

หมาข้างถนนต่างหากที่อดและเจ็บป่วย

The U.S. will start exporting environmental expertise.

Which professional jobs are likely to be in greatest demand in the next decade? To find out, we asked the outplacement and executive-coaching giant DBM to survey its thousands of career counselors and outplacement specialists; we also analyzed the Bureau of Labor Statistics' job-growth projections (see table). The highlights: IT will be back in a big way. Anything relating to health care will boom. And accounting or financial-management skills will be mighty good to have.

Terrific if overdue news for the many techies displaced when the dot-com bubble popped: Seven of the top 20 jobs call for computer expertise. Scot Milland, CEO of Dice.com, a leading job board in the field, says there are already 90% more job listings on his site than last year. "Wireless applications are growing like crazy," he explains. "We're also seeing a need to manage, organize, store, and search the huge amounts of data available to businesses now. Third, the ability to connect technologies in a secure way is crucial, so demand for networking experts is way up." The more sophisticated the skills, the greater the demand. Basic programming is cheap around the globe, so here in the U.S. it's over--the BLS expects 1.3% shrinkage in those jobs by 2012.

According to the DBM survey, health-care management and accounting or financial-management acumen are expected to be the two most marketable skills of the decade ahead. No wonder several health-related jobs--biomedical engineers, medical scientists, pharmacists--land in the top 20. The aging of the population, the continual quest for innovative treatments, and rising health-care costs also boost demand for analysts who conjure up creative compensation and benefits packages. Meanwhile, as companies struggling to meet the March 16 deadline for Sarbanes-Oxley reporting well know, skilled auditors and financial managers are in dismally short supply. The number of accounting degrees granted by U.S. colleges has been declining for years now, so the problem won't go away anytime soon, and audit firms are scrambling to close the talent gap: PricewaterhouseCoopers is hiring 3,100 new grads in 2005, up about 19% over last year, and Ernst & Young will top that, adding 4,000 newbies, a 30% jump from 2004.

But the greatest increase in demand by far will be for folks who know how to clean up spaceship earth. That's because an increasingly health-conscious public is eager to find environmental engineers who can prevent problems rather than simply control those that already exist. Says David Levy, chairman of the Jerome Levy Forecasting Center, a think tank in Mount Kisco, N.Y.: "We expect the U.S. to start exporting environmental expertise to Europe and Asia, including to emerging markets like India." Welcome to the new world, same as the old world: New markets make new opportunities.

Biography

Sweden’s no 1 guitar pop band. Acid House Kings was started by the teenagers Joakim Ödlund {also in Poprace and Starlet}, Nikas Angergård {from Red Sleeping Beauty} and Johan Angergård {Club 8, Poprace} back in 1991 inspired by the English anorakscene {most bands on labels like Sarah, Subway and Heaven would be considered as favorites at this time}. The band recorded their first songs and sent them only to one label, the German tweepop label Marsh-marigold. A few months later their first single, »play pop« was released.

In 1992 Acid House Kings started a 10 year plan, a trilogy of albums with one album released exactly every 5th year. Each album was to be filled with catchy guitar pop songs but with new themes and a growing maturity from album to album. The first album in trilogy was the twee »Pop, look & listen« released on Marsh-marigold in 1992. The album was followed by the 6-track ep »Monaco G.P.« and a European tour in 1994.

With the 2nd part of Acid House Kings album trilogy the band wanted to create catchy quality pop {a bit like The Smiths for summmers days instead of lonely autumn nights looked up in your room}. That album was »advantage Acid House Kings« . The band changed labels for this album to Shelflife in the US and Harmony in Japan. On this album the singer Julia Lannerheim was introduced in the band as a guest singer on a couple of songs. The album was released in rather small quantities and sold out quickly. It's now been re-released by Labrador Records.

In 2001 Acid House Kings built a studio of their own, Summersound Studios, in order to make a perfectly sophisticated pop production. Joakim was unable to make it to the recording studio because of the fact that he was living too far from it. But on the other hand Julia became a fulltime member of the band. The year was a creative burst for the Kings. The result is »mondays are like tuesdays and tuesdays are like wednesdays« . It's and easy, breezy, beautiful albums with more lasting qualities than any of the other albums in the trilogy.

Acid House Kings are right now working on a plan for the following next 10 years.
